Here are my top 5 favorite health and nutriton books right now.

The number of health and nutrition books in print is staggering.  One of my hobbies is to purchase and review health and nutrition books… I love to read, and I am passionate about health and nutrition.  Here are my top 5 Health and Nutrition Books that are worth a thorough read.   

 

The Spark Factor

By Molly Maloof, MD:  A guide to biohacking for women who want to supercharge their energy, become more metabolically resilient and simple feel better than ever.  This book will tell you how to improve the health of your mitochondria (the powerhouse of your cells and where you get your energy).  Follow the advice of Dr. Maloof and you will feel better.

 

Adrenal Transformation Protocol

By Isabella Wentz PharmD, FASCP:  A 4-Week Plan to Release the Symptoms of Stress.  We are all experiencing stress that is not going away.  The lifestyle suggestions in this book will help lessen and control the symptoms of stress.

 

Younger You

By Dr. Kara Fitzgerald:  Reduce your Bio Age and Live Longer and Better.  In a landmark human study, diet and lifestyle reversed the biological age of participants.  You want to know how they did it.  The book outlines a step-by-step process with the science understandably explained.  I have used many of the recipes… don’t miss the Matcha Coconut Crunch on page 293.

Outlive, The Science and Art of Longevity

By Peter Attia, MD with Bill Gifford.  Dr. Attia excels at explaining medicine to regular people.  You are the CEO of your own health and Dr. Attia teaches you how to do that.  I am a regular listener to his podcast and have been waiting for this book for a long time.  It does not disappoint.

Great Bones

By R. Keith McCormick, DC:  For those who want to take control of their Osteoporosis.  If you have concerns about Osteoporosis or Osteopenia, this book will change your life whether you are taking bone medications or not.  Dr McCormick weaves his own osteoporosis and recovery story into this tome of heavily researched guidance.  This book sits on my desk as a go to reference and I recommend it to many of my clients.
